TOKYO -- Ivies continued to impress on Day 11 of the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics as both Harvard's Gabby Thomas and Cornell's Rudy Winkler moved into the semfinals and finals, respectively.

Thomas ran a 22.20 in round one of the 200 meters on Monday, comfortably moving into the semifinals with her second place finish. High hopes surround the Harvard alum in her first Olympic Games, who currently has the fastest time of 2021 on record.

Winkler was also impressive on Monday, marking a 78.81 meters in the hammer throw to automatically advance to Tuesday's final with his second place finish in Group B.

On the diamond, the quartet of Ivies on the Isreal baseball squad fell to Korea in round two. Even with the loss, Isreal still remains eligible for the medal stand in Tokyo.
